History and a few facts

Central Park is well known today as the heart of New york tourist attraction. Is was opened in 1859 and is well known as a national landmark. Central Park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, who was a famous Llandscape Architect designer. Central park is entirely landscape. It has several ponds, lakes, Walking Tracks, Two ice skating rinks, which ones of the rinks is used for a swimming pool during the summer July and August and you have the central park zoo, conservatory Garden, wild life sanctuary, large area of natural woods, running track, outdoor theater. Central Park is design for a great way to get away from the noisy city life. Their are many ways to get a chance to view the park,because it is very big and on foot it will literally take a whole day. you can either, ride on a horse carriage, which is the most convenient way to get around the city. the horse carriage are symbolic to the park. including the smell. You can also take a pedicab. it is very useful and even the rider looks tired they seem to enjoy it because they can get great exercises. Central Park holds many sport recreation facilities. one is of course baseball all American sport, Tennis, Swimming, Ice Skating, jogging, yoga, and many more. you can also get private lessons in anything you like. Central park is also known for free great entertainment like concerts and live performance, around Halloween time you can go to the haunted house they have around October, pumpkin picking, apple picking and so many great things to do. Central park may look peaceful and sometimes to quiet and boring but, it always have something going on. It just like the city it never sleeps.
